Polls

We have this weekend a very strange circumstance.
Harris (Decima) has the Liberals at 22% nationwide, and the Greens at 13%.
Meanwhile Nanos (SES) has the Liberals at 30% and the Greens at 7% This is beyond the margin of error and something is going on here. I will attempt to investigate to get to the bottom of this strange occurance.

I was wondering the same thing a little earlier in the campaign and a blog post by blogger Worthwhile Canadian Initiative on the issue might explain things. In a nutshell, I think a bunch of Green-Liberal waverers are being captured one way by one pollster and another way by others.

I posted about it at http://prairietopiary.blogspot.com/2008/09/which-polls-are-most-accurate.html. See also the comments on my post and the original post at http://worthwhile.typepad.com/worthwhile_canadian_initi/2008/09/tracking-the-tracking-polls.html.
